In this one hour session, Jeff Wakefield gives your class the history behind this classic African American instrument, showing you how to make it* and how to play it. Participants will learn some simple songs from popular mid 19th century composers and performers like Dan Emmett (“Old Dan Tucker”, “Dixie”) and Stephen Foster (“Camp Town Races”) to more modern melodies.
The cost is $3.00 each. Replica metal kazoos are available for purchase.
